New Name. New Look. Same Great Cooperative.
Modern Cooperative Telephone Company is now Modern Cooperative Technologies. Why undergo this rebranding? Because the telephone focus of our past no longer reflects what we offer customers today and will offer them tomorrow — fiber internet and technology services.
Our company began as the Keswick & Webster Mutual Telephone Company in 1900 and became Modern Cooperative Telephone Company in 1957. The original incorporation included the towns of South English, Webster, Kinross, and Keswick, and later that year, Millersberg Telephone Company joined the Cooperative. The official merger of all exchanges was completed in 1958.
In 2024, we completed the replacement of our copper plant with a Fiber to the Home network. This enables Modern Cooperative Technologies to provide incredibly fast and reliable fiber internet service to Keswick, Kinross, Millersburg, South English, Webster, Coyote Run, Rhino Ridge, and surrounding rural areas. No longer solely a telephone company, Modern Cooperative Technologies evolved to become a technology partner and resource. Our goal is to help customers enjoy an enhanced online experience, whether streaming, gaming, or working from home.
The word “Modern” has been in our name for generations. People know us by that name, which is one reason our new Modern Cooperative Technologies logo features “Modern” so boldly. This also serves as a reminder that our company stays current, updating services as technology changes.
